Port Elizabeth - A member of parliament was arrested in Port Elizabeth, over the weekend for alleged drunk-driving, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.
Spokesperson Verna Brink said Cedrick Frolick, ANC chief whip of the parliamentary sports portfolio committee, was arrested during a police operation in Stanford Road on Friday night.
"He was definitely under the influence," said Brink.
Frolick was detained by the police until Saturday morning when he was released on R500 bail. "(SHOCKING)"
He is due to appear in the Gelvandale Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. Courtesy of News24
